You are invited to apply for the SCM Makers Market. Show hours are 10am-5pm. This market will feature the work of artists, crafters, and culinary creators. We will also have live music and food vendors. A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit the non-profit group, Mountain Community Resources. Each date has a deadline to apply. Applicants will be notified by email of acceptance within 10 days after the deadline. Full vendor information will be provided by email 7-10 days before the market. Please understand that categories have limited availability. If you are not accepted but have paid via PayPal, your payment will be refunded back into your account.
ELIGIBILITY: All participants should make their own work. No resale. No imports. All artists, crafters, cottage food (packaged), fresh food, and musicians are invited to apply. Applicants should have a valid resale license and/or health permit (food) for the state of California. Vendors are responsible for their own sales, collecting sales tax, and reporting to the BOE.
FEES & BOOTH SIZES: 10x10 - $85 -Vendors should provide their own shade canopy or market umbrella & weights. 6 ft. table - $60 - Vendors may need a market umbrella & weights, however some of these spaces are in the shade.
ALL VENDORS: As part of the application fee, all vendors are required to donate an item to Mountain Community Resources for their silent auction fund-raising event in October, The Mountain Affair. 100% of the proceeds from your donated item will benefit MCR. The item can be of any value you choose. Gift certificates are acceptable if you sell perishables or a service. A donation form will be emailed to you with the setup instructions 7-10 days prior to the market date. Please fill it out and have your item ready with your business card and donation form on the morning of the Makers Market. BOOTH SET-UP: All booths will be setup on the day of the market. Set-up begins at 7am. All vendors must be ready to sell by 10am. Please bring weights for your canopy/umbrella. Vendors must provide their own tables, canopy/umbrella, and weights.
ADVERTISING: The SCM Makers Market will be advertised heavily throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains and Santa Cruz. Local newspaper ads, signs, flyers, postcards, radio ads, and social media/web advertising is planned. Vendors will be listed on our website with links to their websites or social media sites.
WEATHER: The SCM Makers Market is a rain or shine event. There will be no rain dates or refunds given if it rains.
